Mia has been enjoying the winter weather.  She is also turning out to be a pretty good big sister.  This past month she enjoyed gifts from uncle Donnie in Moscow and Papa Tursman (a souvenir from Alaska).

Mia finally gets another entry all her own; it's short but sweet.  See her with her new baby brother Sam; she also puts on a fashion show.

The new baby is coming (literally any day now!), and I thought it would be a good idea to clean house on some pictures of Mia.  Here you'll some Halloween pics and some wintery pics.  I think Mia is going to seem very big very soon.

I have been delinquent in update tursman.com for a while now; guess that's how summer (with kids) goes.  Here are various photos from Summer 2007.  We've had a lot of beach time, spent a weekend in Harbor Springs, MI, and a week in Northport, MI.  I will be adding pics from those trips and more to the T.C. Tursman's section; this is just a summer-y summary of Mia's affairs this fair season.

{13 months old}

We made a Father's Day weekend retreat to Harbor Springs, MI.  Here is a video of Mia walking across the street (with some assistance).  See how she holds up traffic but confidently traverses the entire crosswalk.

{1 year old}

Mia took her first solo steps over Memorial Day weekend; she's now officially a toddler!  Here is a collection of videos:  some of her playing, some of her walking.  Say goodbye to peace & quiet.

I have some of Mia's 1st birthday celebration online!  We photographed her special day as well as her birthday party with the Tursman's in Valparaiso, IN.  Mother's Day was thrown in for good measure, too.  Her party with some friends in Traverse City is there; soon there will be video footage!

{11 months old}

Mia's getting close to 1 yr already!  See her celebrate her first Easter.  She got a new baby doll.  Hopefully, soon, I'll have some pictures from her birthday party (next post, probably).

{9-10 months old}

These are a bunch of photos taken of Mia over the last 2-3 months.  Lots of facial expressions and personality now.  She'll be 11 months old soon, and she's about ready to walk.  She loves to hang out & play with Charlie.

Mia made a movie crawling around the house with Charlie.  She shows off her tricks like babbling, waving, and pulling up on furniture.  As you'll see she's becoming quite accustomed to her new house.

We've moved!  Grandma Tursman came to visit during the move to help with Mia; they had a ball.  Mia has also now turned 8 months.  Here you can see her sledding with Charlie.

Mia's turned 7 months now, and Christmas is approaching.  She got to meet Santa; I think all she asked for was to get away from him.

I haven't logged an entry for Mia in about a month, so these pictures pretty much sum up her sixth month.  She went to Los Angeles; she's started crawling around.  We've had some snow here lately, and she's done some sledding.

Mia, Halloween, Piglet, Red Hot Mia Pepper, Cheerleaders, berets, bath time, and a face full of food.  What more could you ask for?

Just got a new camera which takes better close-ups.  There are several good face shots of Mia here.  She turns 5 months old, hangs out with a couple of little friends, and even carves her 1st jack-o-lantern.

This album has a few more pictures of Mia around the house.  We also took a weekend trip to Saugatuck, MI, to spend time with the extended Tursman family.  Mia got to hang out with her cousin Dillon.

Whoops!  I forgot to add these pics of Mia on her 4 month birthday (09/10/06).  We celebrated at Moomer's, a local ice cream place in Traverse City.  She didn't have any ice cream, but she seemed to enjoy the farm.

We took a trip to Mackinac Island this weekend for a pediatrics conference.  Mia had a good time on the island with the Sprunk's & the Scaer's.  We followed that trip up with a visit from Jen's parents and brother Scott.

I have been very productive this week with pictures--vacation will do that!  Here is a video of Mia in our hotel room in Chicago.  Our alarm clock went off spontaneously at 8am tuned to "Chicago's Feel-Good Music."  Mia just had to dance.

We had a busy week.  Mia met several old friends in Chicago (Jen's cousin, the Ross's, the Apple's and other IU friends).  She also hung out with the Lemme's & the Ryan's in South Haven, MI.

Mia gets visits from grandparents and tours the garden.  She also has a couple of photo shoots.

Finally, another update to Mia's photo album.  As you can see she is starting to smile consistently and frequently.  She's really buttering us up because I just know we're not that funny!  She's also started to take on her old man's hairline (poor thing!)

We've had a busy few days here with several visitors.  Mia got to meet some of our friends from Indianapolis as well as her Aunt Shannon (McDowell) who flew in from Brooklyn, NY.

Mia Frances Tursman has arrived! She was born 7 lbs 3 oz and cute as can be. Mother & baby (and Father) are well and happy. Click here to see her pictures while still in the hospital.
